Why are we passionate about this?

Estelle and I created the list of books based on our over 50 years of combined expertise in helping others to thrive in their careers. Our passion is facilitating the instruction, training, coaching, and professional development to help individuals reach their career goals. We wrote the book about thriving in careers and created a podcast about thriving in careers with over 30 episodes to help others reach their personal and career goals. At the same time, we want others to be their authentic self while thriving in their careers.

What is our book about?

We hope this book will serve as a resource for people who are contemplating a career in higher education or any career, those who desire to excel in current positions, or those who desire to navigate to new positions. The book includes tips, informational resources, questions for reflection, and spotlights on professionals whose practices serve as an inspiration.

We selected tips that are easy to adopt, low cost or no cost, and effective. Each chapter includes a section for journal writing and 10 questions for reflection. Some of the topics include networking with positive people, how to deal with difficult people, collaboration, and self-care. We hope this book is equally useful to both individuals and groups as a part of professional development activities or course instruction.
